Amazing how life is, two completely different stories, intertwined in a brief moment in time, to be relived at a later date. I enjoyed the story of both families, the survival, just trying to stay alive.

First, it is the experience of Robert Mourand, who antagonized the German soldiers at every opportunity while doing his best to take care of his family in German occupied France. The second tale is that of Sergeant James Weldon Mellody of the United States Army Air Corp who was captured by the Germans after his B-26 was shot down and he parachuted into Robert's town.
